I became a hijabi expecting the journey to be about faith.
I didn't expect it become a journey through fabrics.
Like many women, I quickly realised that not every hijab feels the same.
Some slipped throughout the day. Some felt heavy after a few hours. Others looked beautiful but weren't designed for the rhythm of everyday life.
I began searching for fabrics that felt as good as they looked. Lightweight enough for warmer days, comfortable enough to wear from morning until evening, gentle on the skin and scalp, and effortless to style. Fabrics that moved naturally, stayed in place, and quietly became the pieces I reached for again and again.

HEYA began with one question.
Why was it so difficult to find hijabs that felt as beautiful to wear as they looked?
The more I learned about fabrics, fibres and craftsmanship, the more I realised that thoughtful design begins with comfort. A hijab should feel gentle on the skin and scalp, remain comfortable throughout the day, perform beautifully in real life, and become a piece you instinctively reach for.
The answer wasn't creating more products.
It was creating better ones.
